The football team had their awards banquet last night. Lengthy as usual but this year very special. Dad was presented with gifts for his retirement as team doctor. He was given a beautiful plaque for the office, a signed football, and a collage of pictures of James that our sports photographer made for him. James was able to present dad with the award and it was an emotional moment during a standing ovation of about 250 people. Dad gave an incredible speech like only he can do. James received awards for being a captain, scholar athlete, and most valuable offensive back. A proud night for John and I.
I am speechless. Too bad I wasn't there to lend emotional support. You know what a rock I am :) .
