Spring Break 2013

Had some good times up at Tahoe Donner this week with the boys and Megan was able to come with us too. We even had a nice snow Tuesday night so Wednesday was beautiful. It went by fast but so glad we were able to go. I don't think their bodies could have skied more than 3 days anyway. :) We started with a visit to the Allinghams! The slopes were quiet at Donner Northstar Celebrating 2 anniversaries together. 1 year for James & Megan and 27 years for John & I

A beautiful weekend

John and I went to Pacifica to celebrate our 22nd anniversary. The weather was perfect in the city and we had a nice lunch both days at The Cliff House by a window overlooking the ocean. Our room at the Pacifica Beach Hotel had a beautiful view and private balcony. It was fun to get away for the night and just sit on the beach and talk.

JV Season over

The boys finished their last game in Sonoma last week. We are sad the season is over already. The team finished 2nd with a 10-2 record in league. Overall a good season with shots getting better up until the end. Only lost to Analy (home and away) and will look forward to seeing them again next year for Varsity! John will start spring AAU in March so there will only be a little break.

A new driver!

Well another one is on the road. John received his driver's license this morning. He was so excited he got up at 5:30. He scored better than his father. :)It hit me when he drove out with the instructor and I was sitting on the same bench I sat four years ago with James. Time goes too fast. Be safe out there JT. We love you and are proud of you.

R.I.P. George

Today we lost our good friend George. I still remember listening to Johnny daily for months before his 5th birthday begging for a snake. I hated snakes. I went with him to the pet store and he picked out George among 4 other corn snakes. I bravely brought him home and acted cool when I put him in the tank for the first time. He was so little and wasn't as bad as I thought. I soon learned snakes are among the easiest pets. They only eat once a week and like to be held. Thank you George for being with us for 11 years and never once biting anyone. You taught everyone who knew you snakes are cool. We will miss you.

Basketball Season 2013!

John had his first two league games last week and I missed both of them!! :( I am better now and ready to watch all the rest. They had a good start and hope to have a great finish. Let's go Trojans! We love you #3!
