Well football is officially over. The team had a great trip up to Eureka on Friday morning and were able to practice at Humboldt College and have a nice dinner and a movie. Saturday they had to wait a little too long in the cold to play at 7:00PM. The Eureka Loggers once again proved much stronger than the Trojans. They won last year and again this year. The score was 35-0 but it didn't reflect the game. The guys held them with all they had in the freezing cold but by 3rd qtr were too beat up. They were so much smaller than their opponents. No one could get any traction and were falling and sliding all over the place. All players were able to go in by the 4th qtr and the Loggers were able to score 2 more times but at this point the boys just wanted the game to be over. The rain was pouring and the weather in the thirties. James said he never had been that cold in his entire life. It took him a long time to stop shaking. He injured his other knee when he was piled on in the mud and now can rest his body. He is quite a mess physically but had an unforgettable experience. We all have this week off to relax and rest. I know I am thankful I was able to watch James play the last 4 years and there are moments I will never forget. We love you #30.
Great pictures! Miserable conditions to play in.
ReplyDeleteUnforgettable season!
