Family & Football

Some of James' fanclub :)

Touchdown Molinari!!

The boys had their last season game on friday night. Trojans were expected to lose 21-7. Final score:
TROJANS 27 WINDSOR 0
It was such a great game. Our team played like it was their last which meant they gave it their all and it showed. They ended the season with a league score of 4-2 which means they finished second in the SCL!! James played exceptional and was able to get another touchdown 15 yards out. It was so fun to share it with all the family. I am overwhelmed with the amount of family that came for the last game (and games during the season) to support James. For the last game we had Dad, Dave, Lynn, Tom, Heather, Olivia, Matty, Nathan, Derek, Lisa, Jon, Wendy, Michael, Hannah, Ben, Lauren, Eric, Karen, Tim, Sarah, Lisa Spaletta, John, John T., and myself! I felt their strength when I had to stand with James, John, and Dad on the field to recognize the seniors. It was a rough moment for me which I blocked out otherwise I would have fallen apart. We spent the day visiting and Lisa's children even came up for a few hours so I could see them too. It felt wonderful to be with family. I am so proud of James for being so tough with his injuries because other players would have quit a long time ago. He also continued to maintain his 4.0 while playing 6 days a week. Football has been such a big part of our lives the last four years and I will miss it terribly. What a great ending we had!
